So excited to be invited back by the Writer's Co-Op to be on another panel! I had a nice time zoom-ing with Jenni and Wudan from the backyard last time when we powered through all things tax for self-employed folks. We'll see where I end up this time! (Hmmm.....what zoom location is best for talk about all things retirement plans?)

Along with Stephanie Xenos from the MoneyMuse, Jenni, Wudan, and I will discuss the various retirement plan options for self-employed folks, budgeting for savings, and more. October 1, 2020 at noon. Here is the link for tickets.


The state legislature passed RCW 35-102.130 which tells cities in Washington how to impose a B&O tax on business located in their cities, and whether or not those business can be taxed on revenue earned outside of the city. At the September 2020 meeting, I'll share the ins and outs of this change with my fellow CPAs so they can implement it in their own businesses and share the information with their clients.

Elite Accounting Seattle invited me to present in-house continuing education (CPE) on the tricky world of Partnership Tax law later this month. What does minimum-gain chargeback mean again? Why doesn't basis equal the capital account? We're going to go through those concepts and more in this three-hour intensive on partnership taxes. Thanks for the opportunity, Elite! Weeeee!
