Over my decades as a tax & accounting professional, I've developed a reputation for providing clear, thoughtful, and thorough guidance.
Each client is faced with unique challenges, and I enjoy meeting clients where they are - from the newly licensed mental health professional to the $20M manufacturing company. We work together to untangle the situation, clarify options, and move forward with a plan.
I bring a unique mix to the table with deep technical knowledge along with a love of human-centered problem solving. I work with clients who are curious, engaged, and value thoughtful advice.
About Valerie
Valerie is a CPA licensed with the Washington State Board of Accountancy. She is also a member of the Washington State Society of CPAs, the National Association of Tax Professionals, and the Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance where she is active in the Seattle chapter's tax roundtable. After working for several Seattle tax firms, she opened Moseley & Associates LLC, a tax, accounting, and advisory firm in 2010. After eight amazing years with fabulous employees and delightful clients, she sold that business to another area tax firm so she could focus on her passion of providing business clients with in-depth services. Thus was born VMCPA!
Valerie teaches with several organizations including Washington State Society of CPAs financial literacy program, SBA's SCORE monthly Small Business Workshop, SBA's Emerging Leaders Program, and Artist Trust's tax fundamentals classes. Valerie also teaches continuing education to professional accounting organizations in the Seattle area.
Valerie has a background in the performing arts - she is the former Treasurer of the Board of several arts organizations - but these days you might be more likely to find her on the yoga mat or in the kickball field during her off hours.
